MABA Open House
MABA's first event was a full house. More than 100 shop owners, technicians, suppliers, and industry partners registered in just over a month, and they came ready to ask questions.
The afternoon was built around one goal: let Michigan's collision repair community meet the people behind MABA, see what membership offers, and tell us what matters to them. They did all three.
Attendees asked the Board why MABA was formed, how the Board came together, and where the association is headed.
SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg joined virtually to welcome MABA members into SCRS and walk through benefits like its health care program and 401(k) offering.
Stephenie Sheppard of CARS Cooperative showed how the MABA alliance helps Michigan shops save on everyday purchases. Plenty of shop owners stayed after to talk with her one on one.
Our hosts opened their doors for a behind-the-scenes tour and shared how they grew quickly in a specialized corner of the industry.
What We Heard
The questions from the floor were exactly what the Board hoped for. Two stood out: how MABA will decide which legislation to pursue when members see an issue differently, and how members will be kept informed and given a real voice. Both are on the agenda for the Board's next meeting.
